Estimated Time: 15-20 mins

Shift the Vibe, Change the Game is a pick-your-path interactive story that explores the power of influence and how our choices shape online spaces. Students step into real-life inspired scenarios of cyberbullying and online conflict. Each choice they make reveals how small actions- showing support, speaking up, or safely intervening -can shift the tone and impact of digital interactions.

The activity encourages students to reflect on the role of power dynamics, empathy, and responsibility in online communities, helping them see themselves as active bystanders who can make a positive difference. By the end, students understand that changing the game online starts with individual action, and that their influence matters.

Theme: Think critically about the role each person plays in shaping our online spaces and how the choices we make each day have active impact: Liking, commenting, posting, being silent, speaking up, doing nothing.

Target age group: Years 9-13

Learning outcomes: Used independently of the connected Cyberbullying Prevention Toolkit sessions, students will:

  • Recognise that online choices can have a harmful impact on others.
  • Understand that influence is not neutral: silence, laughter, likes or shares all send signals to peers.
  • Curate a personalised list of ways to use their influence in various roles in an online cyberbullying situation.

Duration: 15-20 mins

Use: Can be used in small groups, or individually

Resources: device (laptop, tablet), headphones, wifi
